RPG Maker facts for kids
The RPG Maker is a special software that helps you create your own RPG games. You don't need to be an expert in game design to use it! It's like having a toolkit to build your own adventure stories.
A Japanese company called ASCII first made RPG Maker until 2003. After that, another company named Enterbrain took over. RPG Maker has a simple GUI (pronounced "goo-ey"), which means it's easy to click and drag things to make your game.
The software gives you lots of ways to make your game unique. Each version comes with a RTP. This RTP has many different graphics (pictures) and sounds you can use. You can also add your own pictures and sounds if they are in the right format.
