Rabbit Hill (Newbury Park) facts for kids

Rabbit Hill, also called Knoll Hill, is a tall hill in Newbury Park, California. It stands about 797 feet (243 meters) high. This makes it one of the highest points in Newbury Park that isn't part of the Santa Monica Mountains.
Rabbit Hill is found within Knoll Open Space, which is also known as Knoll Park. This park is a great place for outdoor activities.
Getting to Rabbit Hill
You can reach Rabbit Hill from a special starting point called a trailhead. This trailhead is on North Reino Road. Right across the street from it are the Pepper Tree Playfields, which have parking spots for visitors.
The Knoll Trail
A path called the Knoll Trail (or Pepper Tree Vista Trail) leads from North Reino Road all the way to the top of the hill. This trail is a bit sloped, but it's a fun walk.

Once you reach the top of Rabbit Hill, you'll be treated to amazing views. You can see many nearby places from up there, including:

Park Area and Nature
The entire Knoll Park area, including Rabbit Hill, covers about 21 acres (8.5 hectares). The hill is covered with two main types of plants:

- Grassland: Areas covered mostly with different kinds of grasses.
This mix of plants provides a home for various local wildlife.
