Radford, also known as Radfordsville or Richardson Store, is a small place in Perry County, Alabama, United States. It is called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Radford is located about 7.57 miles (12.18 km) east-southeast of a bigger town called Marion, right along Alabama State Route 14.
A Look Back in Time
Radford got its name from the Radford family. William Radford and his family were some of the first people to settle in this area around 1820.
For many years, the community had its own post office. It was open from 1846 until 1906 and was known as Radfordsville Post Office. This helped people send and receive mail in the area.
