Rafael Bastos Hocsman, known to many as Rafinha Bastos, is a Brazilian comedian, actor, journalist, and TV personality. He was born on December 5, 1976. He is famous for his stand-up comedy and for hosting TV shows.

About Rafinha Bastos
Early Life and Basketball
Rafinha Bastos grew up in Porto Alegre, Brazil. His family came from Russia. When he was younger, he was a talented basketball player. In 1999, he even got a scholarship to play basketball at Chadron State College in Nebraska, USA. After that, he played for a team called SOGIPA in Brazil in 2000. He helped his team win the State Basketball Championship in Rio Grande do Sul.
Becoming a TV Star
Rafinha became well-known as a host on "CQC", a popular TV show in Brazil. He also hosted another TV show called "A Liga" on the Band TV channel, starting in May 2010.
In 2010, Rafinha Bastos, along with fellow comedian Danilo Gentili, helped open a comedy club in São Paulo, Brazil. This gave a place for many comedians to perform stand-up comedy.
Global Recognition
In 2011, Rafinha Bastos gained worldwide attention. The New York Times newspaper named him the world's most influential person on Twitter. This showed how popular and impactful his online presence was.
Later in 2011, Rafinha had a difficult moment on the "CQC" show. He made a joke during a live broadcast that caused a lot of discussion and upset some people.
