Rafael Bastos Hocsman, known as Rafinha Bastos, is a famous Brazilian comedian, actor, and TV host. He was born on December 5, 1976. Rafinha is well-known for his funny stand-up comedy shows and for hosting popular television programs.

Early Life and Sports
Rafinha Bastos was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil. His family has Jewish roots, and his ancestors came from Russia. When he was younger, Rafinha was a talented basketball player. In 1999, he received a special scholarship to play basketball at Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska, in the United States.
After that, he played basketball for a team called SOGIPA in Porto Alegre in 2000. He helped his team win the State Basketball Championship in Rio Grande do Sul.
Becoming a TV Star
Rafinha Bastos became a well-known face on Brazilian television. He used to be a host on "CQC", which was a very popular TV show in Brazil. Starting in May 2010, he also hosted another TV show called "A Liga" on the Band TV channel.
In 2010, Rafinha, along with another comedian named Danilo Gentili, opened a comedy club. This club was in the city of São Paulo, Brazil.
Global Recognition and Challenges
In 2011, Rafinha Bastos became famous around the world. The New York Times newspaper even called him the most influential person on Twitter globally.
However, in September 2011, something happened during a live TV show. Rafinha made a joke that caused a lot of discussion and upset many people. Because of this, he was suspended from the "CQC" show. Later, a singer named Wanessa and her husband decided to take legal action against him. This led to a court case about the joke.
Today, Rafinha continues to perform stand-up comedy. He also regularly shares videos and content on his YouTube channel.
In 2016, it was announced that Rafinha Bastos would be a host for a Netflix reality show. The show was called Ultimate Beastmaster.
