Rashia Tashan Fisher (born December 18, 1974), known as Rah Digga, is an American rapper and actress. She is famous for being a long-time member of the Flipmode Squad. This is a hip hop group led by Busta Rhymes.

Her first album, Dirty Harriet (2000), was very popular. It reached the top 20 on the Billboard 200 chart. She released her second album, Classic, in 2010. Rah Digga also acted in the horror movie Thirteen Ghosts (2001). In the film, she played a character named Maggie.

Early Life and Learning to Rap

Rah Digga was born in New Jersey. She studied electrical engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

She learned how to rap by listening to other famous rappers. Some of her inspirations included KRS-One, Rakim, and Kool G Rap. They were all part of a group called the Juice Crew.

Music Career

Rah Digga first worked with a hip hop group called Twice the Flavor. After that, she joined the Outsidaz. This led to her being featured on the song "Cowboys." This song was on the Fugees album The Score.

A rapper named Q-Tip noticed her at the Lyricist Lounge. This meeting led her to meet Busta Rhymes. Soon after, she joined his group, the Flipmode Squad. She has appeared on many of Busta Rhymes' albums.

Her first album, "Dirty Harriet," came out on April 4, 2000. It was a big success, selling many copies in the U.S. and worldwide. She also worked with Bahamadia on the song "Be Ok." This song was on the Lyricist Lounge, Vol. 1 album.

At that time, Rah Digga and Bahamadia were important female artists in the Lyricist Lounge movement. Other artists like Mos Def and Talib Kweli were also part of this movement.

In 2001, she sang the title song "Mirror Mirror" for the Thirteen Ghosts movie soundtrack. Also in 2001, she performed at the Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration. She added her own rap verse to the song "Heal the World" with other singers.

Her second album, Everything Is a Story, was planned for 2004. However, it was not officially released then. Many songs from the album appeared online. In 2010, Rah Digga released her own version of the album.

She released a new album called Classic in 2010. The music for this album was produced by Nottz. A song called "This Ain't No Lil Kid Rap" was released to promote it.

Since then, she has released music on her own. You can find her music on her website, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, and the iTunes Store. Rah Digga also works as a music ambassador for the U.S. government. She does this through her non-profit group "Lyrics Matter." This group works with a program called "Next Level."

Acting Career

Rah Digga first appeared in the movie Da Hip Hop Witch (2000). She played a version of herself in this film.

Her first main acting role was in the film Thirteen Ghosts (2001). She acted alongside stars like Tony Shalhoub and Shannon Elizabeth. In the same year, she was in MTV's Carmen: A Hip Hopera (2001). She appeared with Beyoncé and Joy Bryant in that film.
