Raimond Aumann (born 12 October 1963) is a German former professional footballer. He played as a goalkeeper.

Raimond Aumann's Football Journey

Raimond Aumann was born in Augsburg, a city in what was then West Germany. He started his professional football career in 1982. He played in the top German football league, the Bundesliga, for many years.

Early Career and Bayern Munich

When Aumann first joined Bayern Munich in 1982, he was a reserve goalkeeper. This means he was a backup player, not the main starter. The team's main goalkeeper at that time was Jean-Marie Pfaff.

In 1984, Raimond Aumann became the number one goalkeeper for Bayern Munich. He held this important position until he got injured in November 1985. After his injury, he worked hard to recover.

When Jean-Marie Pfaff left Bayern Munich in 1988, Aumann once again became the team's main goalkeeper. Many people thought he was one of the best German goalkeepers of his time.

Winning Trophies

During his time with Bayern Munich, Raimond Aumann helped his team win many important titles. They won the German championship six times. They also won the German Cup twice. These were big achievements for the club and for him.
