Ralph Moore (born December 24, 1956) is a talented English jazz saxophonist. He is known for his amazing saxophone playing and has performed with many famous jazz musicians throughout his career.

Early Life of Ralph Moore
Ralph Moore was born in Brixton, London, England. His mother, Josie Woods, was a dancer. His father was in the US military. Ralph grew up in Brixton. He tried playing different instruments before he found his passion. At 14, he started playing the tenor saxophone.
In 1972, Ralph moved to Santa Maria, California, to live with his father. His mother wanted him to experience a different environment. Around 1975, he moved to Boston. There, he played music locally and attended the Berklee College of Music. His studies were interrupted when he was injured. He never received a degree from the college.
Ralph Moore's Music Career
Ralph Moore began his professional music career in 1979. He went on a tour of Scandinavia. The next year, he moved to New York City. From 1981 to 1985, he was a part of Horace Silver's band. With them, he toured Europe and Japan and made recordings.
After that, Ralph played with many other musicians. These included Roy Haynes (from 1982 to 1986) and Darrell Grant (from 1986 to 1987). He also played with Dizzy Gillespie's reunion band in 1987. Later, he performed with Freddie Hubbard (from 1987 to 1991) and Gene Harris (from 1989 to 1990).
Ralph Moore released his first album as a band leader in 1985. It was with Reservoir Records. He later recorded albums with other labels like Landmark, Criss Cross, and Savoy. In 1995, he joined Kevin Eubanks's band. This band played on The Tonight Show, a popular TV show.
