Ralph-William Johnson Priso-Mbongue, often known as Ralph Priso, was born on August 2, 2002. He is a Canadian soccer player. He plays in the middle of the field as a midfielder. Currently, he plays for the Major League Soccer team Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

Ralph Priso's Early Soccer Journey
Ralph Priso started playing soccer when he was only four years old. He joined a team called Clairlea-Westview SC. When he was eleven, he moved to another team, the North Toronto Nitros. In 2016, he was invited to a special program by Adidas for talented young soccer players.
Ralph tried to join the Toronto FC Academy several times. He tried out when he was 11, 12, and 13, but he didn't get in. Finally, in 2017, when he was 14, he was accepted into the academy. This shows how determined he was to play at a high level!
Ralph Priso's Club Career
Starting as a Professional
In 2018, Ralph played for Toronto FC III in a semi-professional league called League1 Ontario. He played in six games and scored his first goal on July 17, 2018, against Darby FC.
On March 5, 2019, Ralph signed his first professional contract. He joined Toronto FC II, which is a team that helps young players get ready for the main Toronto FC team. He played his first professional game on August 17, 2019, against the Richmond Kickers.
Playing for Toronto FC
On October 14, 2020, Ralph Priso joined the main Toronto FC team. He became the 25th player to come from the TFC Academy and play for the first team. This is a special achievement for players who grew up in the club's system.
He played his first game for Toronto FC on October 24, 2020. He came into the game as a substitute. In 2021, he was sometimes loaned back to the second team to get more playing time. On July 21, 2021, he scored his first goal for Toronto FC in a game that ended in a 1-1 tie. Sadly, in August 2021, Ralph had to have ankle surgery because of an injury. This meant he couldn't play for the rest of that season.
Moving to Colorado Rapids
In July 2022, Ralph Priso was traded from Toronto FC to another MLS club, the Colorado Rapids. This trade involved another player, Mark-Anthony Kaye, and some money. Ralph made his debut for the Colorado Rapids on July 17, 2022, against the LA Galaxy.
Joining Vancouver Whitecaps
In March 2024, Ralph Priso moved to the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The Whitecaps traded some future draft picks and money to get him. He played his first game for the Whitecaps on April 6, 2024, against his old team, Toronto FC. In December 2024, Ralph signed a new contract with the Whitecaps. This contract will keep him with the team for the 2025 season, with options to stay even longer.
Ralph Priso's International Career
Ralph Priso started playing for Canada's youth soccer teams in 2016 when he was 13. He attended a special training camp. In 2017, he played for the Canada Under-15 team in a big tournament called the 2017 CONCACAF Boys' Under-15 Championship. He was even the team captain!
He also played for the Canadian U17 team. He represented Canada in two important tournaments in 2019: the 2019 CONCACAF U-17 Championship and the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup. In January 2021, he was even called to a training camp for the main Canada national team.
Personal Life
Ralph Priso's parents are from Cameroon, so he has Cameroonian roots. He also has a younger brother, Hugo Mbongue, who is also a professional soccer player.
