Randall Winston has had a long and successful career in television. He started as an associate producer on shows such as Champs, Day By Day, and Brooklyn Bridge. He also worked on Spin City as an associate producer.

Producing and Directing Hit Shows

Randall Winston became a producer for the hit show Scrubs. In 2004, he was even nominated for a special award called the Danny Thomas Producer of the Year. This award came from the Producers Guild of America. He has also been nominated for an Emmy Award twice, which is a very important award in television.

He produced pilot episodes for new shows like Nobody's Watching and Confessions of a Dog. Randall Winston also directed two episodes of Scrubs. The character Randall Winston on Spin City was actually named after him. Also, a character named Randall, played by Martin Klebba, on Scrubs was named after him too. Randall Winston was also the inspiration for the character Carter Heywood on Spin City.
