Randolph Keys' Basketball Journey
Randolph Keys was chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the 1988 NBA draft. He was the 22nd player picked overall. Before joining the NBA, Keys played college basketball at the University of Southern Mississippi.
NBA Highlights
His best year in the NBA was during the 1989–90 NBA season. He played for both the Cavaliers and the Charlotte Hornets that season. Keys appeared in 80 games and scored an average of 8.8 points per game. He was also the last player for the Los Angeles Lakers to wear jersey number 8 before the famous player Kobe Bryant.
Playing in the CBA
After his time in the NBA, Keys played for the Quad City Thunder. This team was part of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). He played with them from 1993 to 1995. In 1994, he helped the Thunder win a CBA championship. The next year, in 1995, he was recognized for his skills. He was named to the All-CBA Second Team and the CBA All-Defensive Team.

Randolph Keys has a daughter named Jasmine Keys. She is also a basketball player. Jasmine played for the Italy women's national basketball team in the 2020 Summer Olympics.
