Rapid Valley is a community in Pennington County, South Dakota, United States. It is considered a suburb of Rapid City. In 2020, about 8,098 people lived there.
Many people like Rapid Valley because it has low crime rates and offers great views of the Black Hills. It is also home to many businesses, especially those involved in transportation and engineering.

This community is located just five minutes east of Rapid City. It sits on the open prairie, which is a large, flat grassland.
