Her Early Life and Career
Rauni-Leena Luukanen-Kilde was born in Värtsilä, Finland. When she was a baby, her family had to leave their home because of the Second World War. She grew up in Helsinki, the capital of Finland.
She studied medicine at the universities of Oulu and Turku. She became a doctor in 1967. For a time, she was the only doctor at a hospital in Pelkosenniemi. She even helped with dental and animal care there. Later, in 1975, she became a main medical officer for the Lapland region of Finland.
Her Beliefs and Writings
Rauni-Leena Luukanen-Kilde was interested in mysterious topics since she was a teenager. In 1982, she published her first book, Kuolemaa ei ole, which means There Is No Death.
After a car accident in 1985, she became even more interested in ufology. She spoke at UFO conferences and helped organize the first international meeting about extraterrestrials in Finland. She wrote several books about UFOs, alien abductions, mind control, and conspiracy theories.
Unusual Claims
Luukanen-Kilde claimed that extraterrestrials had "rescued" her from danger. She also said that because of her connection with them, she had special skills and knowledge. She believed that powerful governments, especially the United States, were hiding a secret program where humans and aliens exchanged information.
She also claimed that secret military groups were using technology to control people's minds. She thought they were doing this through cell phones and supercomputers. Another one of her claims was that there was a plan to harm many people on Earth using the swine flu vaccine. She believed this plan was being carried out by groups like the WHO, Henry Kissinger, and the Bilderberg Group. Her article about cybernetic implants (tiny devices put into the body) as a way to control people was read by many. She also appeared in a film called Revelations: The End Times, Volume 2 in 1999.
Later Life
In 1987, Rauni-Leena Luukanen-Kilde married a diplomat from Norway. She moved to Norway in 1992. After her husband passed away in 1996, she returned to Finland. She died in February 2015 in Vaasa, Finland, after a long illness.
