Rayén Araya, born on July 2, 1981, in Santiago de Chile, is a well-known Chilean television and radio commentator. She is famous for her work on Bío-Bío Communication's radio and web television news. Rayén has also been a co-anchor for news programs on many Chilean TV channels.

About Rayén Araya
Early Life and Family
Rayén Araya's full name is Macarena Rayén Araya Guerrero. She was born in Santiago, Chile. She has an older brother named Manuel. In 1984, when Rayén was young, her family moved to Panama. They lived there until 1998. That year, she took part in a beauty pageant and was one of the finalists.
Starting Her Career in Television
Rayén began her television career in 1999. From 1999 to 2002, she co-hosted a TV show called Extra Jóvenes on Chilevisión. She worked alongside other hosts like Martín Cárcamo and Daniel Valenzuela. This show was very popular and had been on air since 1986.
In 2001, Rayén also worked on a cable channel called Zona Latina. There, she hosted a music program named Zona Joven.
Moving to News and Current Affairs
From 2002 to 2006, Rayén worked at Canal 13. She started as a correspondent, reporting on music. Later, she became a co-anchor for the news. This was a big step in her career.
She then moved to Mega in 2002. She stayed there until 2011. At Mega, she was a news co-anchor for the morning news show, Radio Mega. After that, she worked on the evening news, Meganoticias Tarde.
In early 2012, Rayén co-hosted the Central Edition News on UCV TV. She worked with Eduardo Riveros on this program.
Working at Bío-Bío Comunicaciones
By the end of 2012, Rayén Araya joined Bío-Bío Comunicaciones. This company has both a radio station and a television channel. She became a host for their radio and TV programs. These shows include Agenda Propia and Mesa de diálogo. She also works on Radiograma with Nibaldo Mosciatti. She continues to work there today, sharing important news and discussions.
Commentating on Eurovision
In recent years, Rayén has also been a commentator for the Eurovision Song Contest. She provided commentary for the 2023 contest on Canal 13. She also commented on the 2024 contest for Zapping Channel.
