Ray Aranha (born May 1, 1939 – died October 9, 2011) was a talented American actor, writer, and theater director. He was known for his work on stage, in movies, and on TV.

Ray Aranha's Career
Ray Aranha was born in Miami, Florida. He loved the theater and worked on many plays. In 1974, he won a special award called the Drama Desk Award. He won it for writing a great play called My Sister, My Sister.
He also wrote and performed his own show called I Am Black. Later, he played the character Jim Bono in the famous play Fences.
Acting in TV Shows and Movies
Besides his theater work, Ray Aranha also acted in many movies and TV shows. In 1990, he was in the TV show Married People on ABC. He also appeared in another show called The Heights in 1992.
