The Reñihué River is a beautiful river located in Chile. It flows through the Palena Province in the Los Lagos Region. This river eventually empties into the vast Pacific Ocean.
Pumalín Park: A Special Place
The Reñihué River flows right through Pumalín Park. This park is a very special nature reserve that helps protect the environment. It is open for everyone to visit and enjoy its natural beauty.
In 1991, an American environmentalist named Douglas Tompkins bought a large piece of land here. This land was in the Reñihué River Valley. Douglas Tompkins was a leader of an organization called The Conservation Land Trust. He wanted to protect this amazing natural area. His important work helped create Pumalín Park, saving many plants and animals.
