About Redneck Heaven
Redneck Heaven first opened its doors in 2008 in Lewisville, Texas. It was designed to be a lively sports bar. The restaurants had a special Southern and "Redneck" style.
Inside, you could see interesting decorations. These included car doors from the famous General Lee car. This car was from the TV show The Dukes of Hazzard. There were also other car parts and sports items. The staff at Redneck Heaven were known for being playful. They would often do fun activities like line dancing and hula hooping. The Dallas Observer newspaper even said it was one of the best bars in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Television Show: Big Tips Texas
In 2013, the TV channel MTV created a reality television show. It was called Big Tips Texas. The show followed some of the staff who worked at the Redneck Heaven in Lewisville, Texas. The series had 14 episodes and ran for one season.
Special Food Challenges
Redneck Heaven offered some very unusual food challenges. These were special items that customers could try to finish.
The Bubba Burger Challenge
One challenge was called the "Bubba's 'Tower in an Hour' Burger Challenge". This was a very large burger. It weighed about 3 pounds (1.4 kilograms). Customers tried to eat the whole burger in one hour.
The Minnow Bomb Drink
Another unique item was a drink called the "Minnow Bomb". This drink was a shot of liquor. It contained a live minnow fish inside. This drink caused some discussion. The animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) spoke out against it. They said it was not kind to the fish. They also thought it might not be safe to drink.
