What is Redwing About?
This book tells the story of two young boys, Rowan and Samik. They both face big challenges and meet in an unexpected way. Their journey is full of adventure, danger, and a little bit of magic.
Rowan's Difficult Journey
Rowan Redwing is a talented musician who plays the button box. Sadly, his parents and sister, Ettie, passed away from a serious illness called the Bubonic plague. Because of these tough times, Rowan had to travel during winter. He joined a group of people moving together in a caravan.
Samik's Escape
Samik's parents were wine traders from a place called Tarzine. One day, something bad happened with a powerful and aggressive warlord. This forced Samik to leave his home quickly. He fled to a town called Prosper, bringing only his dog and his fiddle.
A Strange Meeting
The two boys, Rowan and Samik, eventually meet in a town that is new to both of them. Rowan, being kind, allowed Samik (who was now using the name Aydin) to travel with him. Samik claimed he could see the ghost of Rowan's sister, Ettie. Rowan didn't know that Samik's secret would lead them into great danger. In the end, Ettie and the giant dog would work together to save the day!
