Reeseville got its name from an early settler named Samuel Reese. He moved to this area in 1845. Later, his son, Adam Reese, helped plan and map out the village. That's how the name "Reeseville" came to be!

Reeseville's Past Industries
In the middle to late 1950s, a company called J&R Plasticraft Corporation was located in Reeseville. This company was famous for making fiberglass boats called Glass-Jet runabouts. These boats were special because they looked like cars from that time, even having cool tail fins and two-tone colors!
After J&R Plasticraft, another company called Quality Plastics, Inc., also in Reeseville, continued making boats. They sold their boats under the name "Quality Glass" Boats. However, this company stopped making boats after 1960.
