Regino Hernández Martín is a talented Spanish snowboarder. He was born on July 25, 1991, in Ceuta, Spain. Regino is best known for winning a bronze medal at the Winter Olympics.

Regino's Snowboarding Journey

Early Successes and Junior Championships

Regino showed his skill early in his career. On March 29, 2011, he won a gold medal. This was in snowboard cross at the 2011 FIS Junior World Championships. The event took place in Valmalenco, Italy.

Olympic Adventures and Medals

Regino has competed in the Winter Olympics multiple times. His first Olympic appearance was at the Vancouver 2010 Games. He finished 31st in the snowboard cross event. He was eliminated in the 1/8 round.

Four years later, he competed in the Sochi 2014 Olympics. He improved his performance, reaching the quarterfinals. He finished 21st overall in Sochi.

His biggest Olympic moment came at the Pyeongchang 2018 Games. Regino made it all the way to the final race. He then achieved an amazing bronze medal! This was a very special moment for Spain. It was the country's first medal at the Winter Olympics since 1992.

World Cup Achievements

Regino also had great success in the World Cup series. These are big competitions held around the world. His first time finishing on the podium was in La Molina, Spain. This happened on March 15, 2014, where he placed third.

He also achieved top spots in team snowboard cross events. In December 2016, he won first place in Montafon, Austria. He repeated this success in Montafon in December 2017, again taking first place. In March 2018, he secured a second-place finish in Veysonnaz, Switzerland.
