Corey Isiah Christie (born August 24, 1977), known by his stage name Reks (which is sometimes written as REKS), is an American rapper. He comes from Lawrence, Massachusetts, and is known for his music in the underground rap scene. This means he made music that was popular with a dedicated group of fans, often outside of mainstream music charts. His first album, Along Came The Chosen, came out in 2001. Since then, Reks has released many more albums and appeared on various other music projects.

Reks's Early Music Journey
When Reks was a teenager, he loved to breakdance. He was part of a local dance group called Funk Town Connection. As he got older and went to college at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Reks became well-known in the rap music scene in Boston. He eventually decided to leave college to focus on making music.
He started recording songs for Brick Records. His first songs, like "I Could Have Done More" and "Fearless," were released in 2001. Later that year, his first full album, Along Came the Chosen, was released. This album helped him get nominated for "Hip-Hop Album of the Year" and "Artist of the Year" at the Boston Music Awards. Reks has worked with famous music producers and artists like DJ Premier and Alchemist on his albums. In 2016, he released an album called "The Greatest X" which was very popular with music critics.
