Renee Sands is an American singer and actress. Her full name is Renee Ilene Sandstrom. She is famous for her role as Renee on the TV show Kids Incorporated. She also sang in the American girl group called Wild Orchid.

Renee Sands was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, in the United States. She is the youngest of four children in her family. Renee loved singing from a young age. She even had a band with her family members.

Early Acting and Singing
In 1983, Renee Sands appeared in the first episode of a popular 1980s musical TV show. This show was called Kids Incorporated. The pilot episode was released on VHS in 1985. Renee starred in the first four seasons of the show. She was on the show from 1984 to 1987. She started when she was 10 years old and left at 13.
As a child, Renee also competed in a talent show in Boston. She came in second place. She also performed before famous entertainers like Wayne Newton and Bob Hope. Renee sang in the children's chorus for Martika's song, "Toy Soldiers". Other Kids Incorporated cast members also sang on this song.
Wild Orchid Group
From 1990 to 2003, Renee Sands was a member of the band Wild Orchid. Her bandmates were Stacy Ferguson and Stefanie Ridel. Stacy Ferguson was also her co-star on Kids Incorporated. Stefanie Ridel was her friend from high school. Renee was a member of Wild Orchid for the entire time the group was together.
Wild Orchid was an American girl group. It included Stacy Ferguson, Stefanie Ridel, and Renee Sandstrom. The group first started in 1990 under the name "NRG." In 1992, they changed their name to Wild Orchid. They signed with RCA Records in 1994. The group released two albums. They were nominated for Billboard Music Awards for their first album. In 2001, Stacy Ferguson left the group. Renee and Stefanie continued as a duo. They released Wild Orchid's final album, Hypnotic, in 2003. In 2013, Us Weekly magazine named Wild Orchid one of the top 25 'Best Girl Groups of All Time'.
Other Projects
Renee Sands sang "Just Like We Dreamed It" with Ruben Martinez. This song was the 15th anniversary theme for Disneyland Paris. She also had a role in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock. She provided the singing voice for the character Peggy Dupree. Peggy sang the song "Here I Am" in the movie. Renee also sang "Love from Afar" for the soundtrack of the movie Just Friends. In 2003, Renee and Stefanie Ridel starred in a movie called Pink Ladies.
In 2012, Renee sang "I Think I Like You" with the band Eagle Eye. This song was featured in the second season of the TV show Dance Moms. In 2021, Renee sang the theme song for a new Disney Junior show. The show was called The Chicken Squad.
Personal Life
On October 10, 2008, Renee Sands married Robby Welles. He is an expert in retirement investments. They had a private wedding ceremony in Los Angeles, California. Renee and Robby have a daughter together.
