Playing for the Cincinnati Bengals
Renell Wren was picked by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL draft. He was the 125th player chosen overall. In 2019, he played in 11 games and started two of them. Later that year, he was placed on injured reserve. This means he couldn't play due to an injury.
In 2020, Renell started training camp on the non-football injury list. He was moved back to the active team later. However, he was placed on injured reserve again with a quadriceps injury. On August 31, 2021, the Bengals decided to waive Renell. This means they released him from the team. The very next day, he signed with their practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the main roster.
