Renārs Kaupers, born on September 1, 1974, is a famous singer, musician, and songwriter from Latvia. He is best known as the lead singer of the popular pop/rock band Brainstorm.

About Renārs Kaupers
Renārs Kaupers finished his studies at the University of Latvia in 1996. He earned a degree in journalism. He is very good at speaking different languages, including English, Latvian, and Russian.
His Music Career
Renārs is the lead singer of the Latvian band Brainstorm. The band became very famous when they took third place at the Eurovision Song Contest 2000. Their song "My Star" was a big hit.
Renārs as an Actor and Host
Besides music, Renārs has also acted in movies. In 2001, he won the Latvian Film Prize for best actor. This was for his role as Juziks in the film Vecās pagastmājas mistērija, which means The Mystery of the Old Parish House.
He has also hosted big events. In 2003, he hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 in Riga, Latvia. He hosted it with Marija Naumova, also known as Marie N. Later, in 2005, he co-hosted Congratulations. This was a special concert in Copenhagen, Denmark, celebrating 50 years of Eurovision. He hosted it with Katrina Leskanich.
His Family's Musical Talent
Renārs Kaupers' sons, Edgars and Emīls, also love music. They have their own indie-pop band called Carnival Youth.
