Reprezent 107.3 FM is an exciting radio station based in Brixton, South London. It's special because it's run by young people, for young people, usually between the ages of 13 and 25. Reprezent started broadcasting in April 2011 and is known as "The Sound of Young London."

What is Reprezent Radio?
Reprezent is more than just a radio station; it's a place that helps young people. They offer unique services to young Londoners. This includes training in radio and media skills. They also help young musicians get their music used in TV shows and movies. This happens through their partnership with Sony ATV.
Helping Young Talent
Reprezent works with cool places like Tate Britain and ICA. They also team up with music labels and management companies. This helps them create lots of chances for young people to get involved in the music and media world.
In March 2017, Reprezent worked with famous artists like The xx and Goldie. They created a special week of radio shows. These shows featured many different artists, including Kurupt FM and J Hus.
Shows and Presenters
The station has over 100 young presenters. They create about 80 different radio shows. Reprezent broadcasts new, original content from 8 AM until 3 AM every day. After that, they play an automated playlist of music.
Music on Reprezent
The music played on Reprezent is chosen by its young presenters. They pick songs based on how good they are. Presenters suggest music, and then a group of presenters and volunteers decide what gets played.
Finding New Artists
Reprezent is great at finding new music stars. Many successful artists started their careers at Reprezent. Some famous past presenters include Novelist, Stormzy, Lady Leshurr, and Kenny Allstar.
Reprezent also helped create the "Grime n Reason" album with Sony ATV. This album brought together 14 new artists. They made music specifically to be used in TV and films. This was the first time a project like this was done for licensing music.
Supporting UK Music
Reprezent focuses on playing music only by UK artists. They often discover new music that later becomes very popular. For example, in the BBC Sound of 2017 list, seven of the artists were first discovered by Reprezent. These included Ray BLK, Nadia Rose, and Jorja Smith. By focusing on South London's lively music scene, Reprezent has helped many artists become well-known.
