Reuben Cannon made history in Hollywood. He was the very first Black casting director. This was a huge step forward for diversity in the film industry.
From 1977 to 1978, he was in charge of TV casting for Warner Brothers. This is a very famous movie and TV studio. In 1978, he started his own company. It was called Reuben Cannon & Associates.
