Reyshawn Antonio Terry Sr. (born April 7, 1984) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels. Reyshawn was known for playing as a power forward or small forward.

College Career Highlights

Reyshawn Terry played basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He helped his team win the exciting 2005 NCAA Championship when he was a sophomore. This is a huge achievement in college basketball!

Top Performance in College

During his junior year in the 2005–06 season, Reyshawn had his best scoring year. He averaged 14.3 points per game, showing his skill on the court. He finished his college studies in May 2007, earning a degree in African-American studies.

Professional Basketball Journey

Reyshawn Terry began his professional career after being chosen in the 2007 NBA draft. The Orlando Magic picked him as the 44th player overall in the second round. On the same day, he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks.

Playing Around the World

Reyshawn's career took him to many different countries. In August 2007, he signed with Aris BC in Greece. He later played for Virtus Bologna in Italy, where his team reached the quarterfinals of the FIBA EuroChallenge.

Spain and Germany

For the 2009–10 season, Reyshawn played for Xacobeo Blu:Sens in Spain. This team had just moved up to the top Spanish league, ACB. In August 2010, he joined the German team Brose Baskets. With them, he won both the German League championship and the German Cup in 2011.

Ukraine, Lebanon, and France

After his time in Germany, Reyshawn played for BC Khimik in Ukraine during the 2011–12 season. The next season, 2012–13, he played for Champville SC in Lebanon. In September 2013, he signed a one-year deal with Le Mans in France.

Puerto Rico and Beyond

Reyshawn continued to play for various teams. In October 2014, he signed with Tadamon Zouk in Lebanon. He then moved to Puerto Rico in March 2015 to play for Maratonistas de Coamo. He also played in Venezuela for Trotamundos de Carabobo and in the Dominican Republic for the Cañeros del Este.

Later Career and Awards

In November 2016, Reyshawn signed with the Japanese team Ryukyu Golden Kings. The following year, in September 2017, he joined the Ulsan Mobis Phoebus in South Korea.

Most Valuable Player

On April 18, 2018, Reyshawn signed with Piratas de Quebradillas in Puerto Rico. He had an amazing season there! On August 28, 2018, Reyshawn Terry was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the 2018 season in the BSN league. This award showed how important he was to his team.

Reyshawn Terry continued to play professionally until 2023, playing for teams in South Korea, Mexico, Argentina, and Chile.
