Ricardo Alexandre dos Santos (born on June 24, 1976), known simply as Ricardinho, is a former professional footballer from Brazil. He was a talented player who mostly played as a defensive midfielder. This means he helped protect his team's goal and also started attacks from the middle of the field. Playing Career
Ricardinho started his football journey in Brazil. He joined the youth team of Cruzeiro in 1992. This was a big step for him as a young player.
Early Days at Cruzeiro
After playing in the youth ranks, Ricardinho joined Cruzeiro's main team in 1994. He spent many years there, becoming an important player. From 1994 to 2001, he played in 133 games for Cruzeiro. During this time, he scored 16 goals. He was part of a very successful era for the club.
Adventures in Japan
In 2002, Ricardinho moved to Japan to play for Kashiwa Reysol. This was a new experience for him, playing in a different country. He stayed with Kashiwa Reysol until 2006. During his time there, he played 83 games and scored 13 goals.
