Ricardo Costa (born 16 May 1981) is a Portuguese football player. He plays as a defender for Valencia and the Portugal national team.
Ricardo Costa's Club Career
Ricardo Costa started his professional football journey with Porto in Portugal. He played for them from 2001 to 2007. During his time at Porto, he helped the team win several important titles.
After leaving Porto, Ricardo moved to Germany to play for Wolfsburg. He was part of the team that won the Bundesliga (the top German football league) in the 2008-2009 season. This was a big achievement for both him and the club.
In 2010, he had a short time playing for Lille in France. Later that year, he joined Valencia in Spain, where he continues to play as a defender.
Playing for Portugal
Ricardo Costa has also represented his home country, Portugal, on the international stage. He first played for the national team in 2005.
