Ricardo Fort was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His family was well-known because of their candy company. Ricardo's grandfather, Felipe Fort, started the Felfort confectionery company in 1912. This company quickly grew to be one of the biggest candy makers in Argentina.
After his grandfather passed away in 1969, Ricardo's father, Carlos Augusto Fort, took over the family business. Ricardo was very close to his mother, Marta Campa, who was an opera singer.

Personal Life and Family
Ricardo Fort had two children, twins named Felipe and Marta. In 2010, he shared that his children were born with the help of a surrogate mother. This means another woman carried his children for him. The surrogate mother was found through a company in California.
Passing Away
Ricardo Fort passed away on November 25, 2013, in Buenos Aires. He was 45 years old. He had been getting treatment for a knee injury. His death was caused by a sudden heart problem. Just a few days before, he had also suffered a leg injury in Miami, Florida.
