Where Was Richland Located?
Richland was found in Butte County, California. It was about 3.5 miles (5.6 kilometers) east-southeast of a town called Biggs. The area is about 102 feet (31 meters) above sea level. Maps from 1912 still showed Richland in its original spot. However, by 1952, its location on maps had shifted about half a mile (0.8 kilometers) to the west.
