Richmond is a small village in Madison Parish, Louisiana. It is located right next to Brushy Bayou. In 2020, about 511 people lived there. This was a bit less than the 577 people who lived there in 2010. Richmond is also part of the larger Tallulah area.

Exploring Richmond's Location

Richmond is found in the eastern part of Madison Parish. It is located at 32°23′9″N 91°10′29″W / 32.38583°N 91.17472°W / 32.38583; -91.17472. The city of Tallulah, which is the main town of the parish, is just north of Richmond.

You can easily reach Richmond using Interstate 20. This major highway runs through the southern part of the village. If you take Exit 173, you'll be right there! Interstate 20 goes west about 20 miles to Delhi. It also goes east the same distance to Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Richmond covers an area of about 1.66 square miles (4.30 square kilometers). All of this area is land. There are no large bodies of water within the village limits.

Brushy Bayou is a small waterway that flows through the eastern part of Richmond. It then curves around the northern and western sides of the village. This bayou is a branch of a larger waterway called Bayou Roundaway.
