Rick Comegy, born on September 24, 1953, is a former American college football and college baseball coach. He is well-known for leading several college teams. His coaching career included stops at Tuskegee University, Jackson State University, and Mississippi Valley State. He also coached at Cheyney University and Central State University.
Coach Comegy was introduced as the head coach at Mississippi Valley State on January 21, 2014. Before that, he was the head football coach at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi from 2006 to 2013. He took on the Jackson State role on December 9, 2005. This was after spending ten successful years as the head coach at Tuskegee University.
At Tuskegee, he achieved an impressive record of 90 wins and only 26 losses. He also served as an assistant coach at Central State under Billy Joe. Comegy is a graduate of Millersville University, where he finished his studies in 1976. He also held coaching positions at Millersville and Colgate University.
