Ricky Robertson is an American athlete who is really good at the high jump. He was born on September 19, 1990, in Hernando, Mississippi.
Ricky got to compete in the 2016 Summer Olympics, which was a huge achievement! He also competed in the 2017 World Championships in Athletics – Men's high jump. During his college years at Ole Miss, Ricky was an amazing athlete. He won 10 NCAA Division I All-American awards. This means he was one of the best college athletes in the country! He also earned 14 awards from the Southeastern Conference.

Ricky's Professional Career
After college, Ricky became a professional high jumper. He worked hard to join Team USA.
Olympic and World Championships
Ricky made Team USA for the 2016 Summer Olympics. He qualified by jumping 2.29 m (7 ft 6.03248032 in) meters at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center. This jump met the "Olympic standard," which is the height needed to compete in the Olympics. At the 2016 Olympics, he placed 17th.
He also competed in the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships – Men's high jump. He placed twelfth in the high jump, clearing 2.20 m (7 ft 2.48917323 in) meters. In 2017, he placed 16th at the World Championships.

Ricky went to the University of Mississippi, where he was part of the Ole Miss Rebels track and field team. He improved his high jump skills a lot during his time there.
