Risto Mejide Roldán (born on 29 November 1974) is a well-known Spanish TV personality. He was born in Barcelona, Spain. Risto is famous for being a judge on many popular TV talent shows. He is also a publicist, an author, a music producer, and a TV presenter.

About Risto Mejide
Risto Mejide was born with the name Ricardo Mejide Roldán. When he was 18 years old, he decided to officially change his name to Risto. This name is a Finnish version of Ricardo.
Risto studied at the ESADE Business School. He earned a Bachelor's degree and an MBA (Master of Business Administration) in 1997. He even worked as a teacher there for a while.

On 20 May 2017, Risto Mejide married Laura Escanes. She is a model and a social media personality. They have a daughter together named Roma.

Risto Mejide is best known for his work on television. He has been a judge on several big talent shows in Spain.
Judging Talent Shows
Risto first became famous as a judge on Operación Triunfo. This was in its fifth season. He was known for giving very direct and sometimes tough comments to the contestants. People often compared him to Simon Cowell, another famous TV judge.
He later joined the judging panel for other popular shows, including:

In 2014, he hosted a talk show called Viajando con Chester on Cuatro. He hosted three seasons of this show. Later, in 2015, he hosted another talk show called Al rincón de pensar on Antena 3.
In 2016, Risto returned to Mediaset España. He continued to be a judge on Got Talent España. He also hosted another talk show called Chester in Love on Cuatro. In 2017, he hosted a dating show called All You Need Is Love... O No on Telecinco. Since 2019, Risto has been hosting the current affairs talk show Todo es mentira on Cuatro.
Other Work
In 2008, Risto Mejide published his first book. It was titled El Pensamiento Negativo, which means "The Negative Thinking". In 2009, he also started working as a songwriter and music producer. He worked with a music group called Labuat.
