The River Haddeo is a river in Somerset, England. It flows through the beautiful Exmoor area. This river starts its journey from Wimbleball Lake and eventually joins the larger River Exe.

Where the River Flows

The River Haddeo's valley is made up of three smaller valleys. These smaller valleys bring water from nearby farms. They all meet up with the River Haddeo further south.

Tributary Rivers

One important river that joins the Haddeo is the River Pulham. The River Pulham flows past the village of Brompton Regis. It then continues until it meets the Haddeo at a place called Hartford.

River Health and Fish Life

In 2001 and 2002, a company called South West Water studied the River Haddeo. They wanted to learn about the fish living there. They also checked the river's habitat, how much water was flowing, and the water quality.

Protecting Young Salmon

The Haddeo River gets water released from Wimbleball Reservoir. This study helped them find out if anything was stopping young salmon from growing well. They wanted to make sure the river was a good home for these important fish.
