About River Reservoir
River Reservoir covers 50 acres (20 ha) of water. It is about 20 feet (6.1 m) deep on average. The deepest parts can reach 45 feet (14 m).
The Arizona Game and Fish Department helps keep the lake full of fish. They add young rainbow trout in the spring. They also add larger rainbow trout in the spring and summer. Sometimes, a few brown trout swim into the reservoir. These come from a special water channel that refills the lake in winter.
