The River Ugie flows near the town of Peterhead.

The River Ugie, also known as Ugie Water, is a river in North East Scotland. Its name in Scottish Gaelic is Uisge Ùigidh. This river flows into the North Sea on the east coast of Scotland. It reaches the sea at Peterhead, a town located north of Cruden Bay.

Long ago, people lived along the River Ugie. There is a lot of proof that prehistoric communities settled in the area where the Ugie's water collects. For example, an ancient burial mound called the Catto Long Barrow can be found south of the main river. The River Ugie has two bridges that cross it. One is Balmoor Bridge, located just north of Peterhead. The other is the George Birnie Memorial Bridge, which is a walking bridge at Peterhead Golf Club.
