The Rivière du Bois Clair (which means "light wood river" in English) is a small river in Quebec, Canada. It flows into the Rivière du Chêne. The Rivière du Chêne then joins the mighty St. Lawrence River. This river flows through the towns of Sainte-Croix and Saint-Édouard-de-Lotbinière. Both towns are located in the Lotbinière Regional County Municipality, in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec.

The Bois Clair river starts in Sainte-Croix. It begins from small streams in farm and forest areas. The river flows for about 13.3 kilometers (around 8.3 miles). As it travels, the river drops about 50 meters (164 feet) in height.

The river's journey includes several parts:

  • It flows southwest in Sainte-Croix for about 0.6 kilometers.
  • Then, it turns northwest for 2.2 kilometers, crossing Route 226.
  • It continues west for 6.2 kilometers, passing through Saint-Édouard-de-Lotbinière.
  • Finally, it flows west for 4.3 kilometers until it meets the Rivière du Chêne.
