The Rivière du Pin is a river in Quebec, Canada. It flows into the Rivière du Sud (Montmagny). The Rivière du Sud then flows into the mighty St. Lawrence River.
This river is located in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec. It flows through several different areas called regional county municipalities (RCMs). These RCMs are like districts or counties.
The Rivière du Pin flows through:

How Does the Rivière du Pin Flow?
The Pin river flows for about 30.6 kilometres (19.0 mi) (about 19 miles). It winds through a valley, changing direction as it goes. Here's how its path unfolds:
- It flows northeast for 0.8 kilometres (0.50 mi). This takes it to the border between Saint-Magloire and Saint-Philémon.
- Next, it travels north for 3.4 kilometres (2.1 mi). Along this part, it collects water from small mountain streams. You'll even find the "Les Portes de l'Enfer" (Gates of Hell) falls here!
- The river then turns northeasterly for 2.7 kilometres (1.7 mi). It crosses Route 281.
- For the next 7.0 kilometres (4.3 mi), it flows northwest. It passes under the bridge on Chemin du Rang Saint-Isidore.
- It continues north for 5.0 kilometres (3.1 mi). Here, it picks up water from its main branch, the Gabriel River. It crosses Route 216 about 2.6 kilometres (1.6 mi) east of Saint-Philémon.
- The river then flows northwest for 5.9 kilometres (3.7 mi). This brings it to the northwest edge of Saint-Philémon.
- For 3.2 kilometres (2.0 mi), it flows northwest again. During this part, it forms the boundary between Armagh and Sainte-Euphémie-sur-Rivière-du-Sud.
- It then goes north for 1.2 kilometres (0.75 mi) within Armagh. It passes under the Fourche-du-Pin road bridge.
- Finally, it flows northwest for 1.4 kilometres (0.87 mi). This last stretch leads it to where it joins the Rivière du Sud (Montmagny).
