Robert Alan Morrow (born September 21, 1962) is an American actor and director. He is well-known for playing Dr. Joel Fleischman in the TV show Northern Exposure. This role earned him three Golden Globe and two Emmy nominations. Later, he became famous for his part as FBI agent Don Eppes in the TV series Numbers.

Rob Morrow's Early Life
Rob Morrow was born in New Rochelle, New York. His mother, Diane Francis, was a dental hygienist. His father, Murray Morrow, made industrial lights. Rob is Jewish and had a Reform Bar Mitzvah. He grew up in Hartsdale, New York. His parents divorced when he was nine years old. He went to Cardigan Mountain School and Edgemont High School. He left high school before his last year to start his acting career.
Rob Morrow's Acting Career
Rob Morrow's acting journey began when he was 18. He appeared as an extra on Saturday Night Live. He also acted with Johnny Depp in the movie Private Resort (1985). You might remember him from Dentyne gum commercials, where he said the catchy phrase "Time to walk the dog."
Becoming Famous on TV
From 1990 to 1995, Morrow played the main character in Northern Exposure. He was Dr. Joel Fleischman, a doctor from New York City. His character was surprised to be sent to a cold, isolated town in Alaska called Cicely. Rob Morrow was nominated for several awards for his work on this show. He left the show in 1995 to act in movies.
Movies and Other TV Shows
Morrow starred in the popular film Quiz Show (1994). He played Dick Goodwin, an investigator. Dick worked to expose a scandal behind a 1950s game show. In 1996, Morrow played the younger brother of Albert Brooks' character in Mother. In 2000, he directed and starred in Maze. This movie was about an artist who had Tourette syndrome, a condition that causes sudden, repeated movements or sounds.
In 2002, Morrow played Kevin Hunter in the TV series Street Time. He also appeared in the TV movie Custody. In 2007, he was Dr. Hollins, Jack Nicholson's doctor, in The Bucket List.
From 2005 to 2010, he starred as FBI agent Don Eppes in Numb3rs on CBS. This show was about a math genius who helped his FBI agent brother solve crimes. In 2010, Morrow joined a new series called The Whole Truth on ABC. He filmed 13 episodes for this show. Morrow also played Henry Rearden in Atlas Shrugged: Part III, which came out in 2014.
In 2017, Morrow had a repeating role as reporter Abe Leonard in Designated Survivor. He also played Barry Scheck in The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story. In 2018, there was news that Northern Exposure might return. Morrow was expected to play Joel Fleischman again.
Morrow also has a repeating role as Judge Adam DeGiulio in the TV drama Billions. He teaches acting at the Ruskin Group Theatre in Santa Monica. In 2019, he played Willy Loman in the theater's play Death of a Salesman.
Rob Morrow's Personal Life
In 1998, on his 36th birthday, Rob Morrow married actress Debbon Ayer. They have one daughter named Tu Morrow, who was born in 2001. They live in Santa Monica, California. Before that, Morrow lived in Seattle when he was filming Northern Exposure.
