Robert Alan Morrow (born September 21, 1962) is an American actor and director. He is well-known for playing Dr. Joel Fleischman in the TV show Northern Exposure. This role earned him several important awards nominations. Later, he became famous for his part as FBI agent Don Eppes in the TV series Numbers.

Early Life and Beginnings
Growing Up in New York
Rob Morrow was born in New Rochelle, New York. His mother, Diane Francis, was a dental hygienist, and his father, Murray Morrow, made industrial lighting. Rob grew up in Hartsdale, New York. His parents separated when he was nine years old.
Starting His Acting Journey
Rob went to Cardigan Mountain School and Edgemont High School. He decided to leave high school early in his senior year to start his acting career. He was just 18 years old when he first appeared as an extra on the TV show Saturday Night Live.

Early Roles and Big Breaks
Rob Morrow's film career began with small parts. He acted alongside Johnny Depp in the movie Private Resort in 1985. You might also remember him from Dentyne gum commercials where he said the catchy phrase, "Time to walk the dog."
Starring in Northern Exposure
From 1990 to 1995, Rob Morrow played the main character in the popular TV show Northern Exposure. He played Dr. Joel Fleischman, a doctor from New York City who is surprised to be sent to a very cold and isolated town in Alaska. For his excellent work on this show, Rob was nominated for three Golden Globe Awards and two Emmy Awards. He left the show in 1995 to focus on movies.
Movies and Other TV Shows
After Northern Exposure, Rob Morrow starred in the highly praised film Quiz Show (1994). In this movie, he played Dick Goodwin, a detective who worked to expose a big game show scandal from the 1950s. He also played the younger brother of Albert Brooks' character in the movie Mother (1996). In 2000, Rob directed and starred in a movie called Maze, which was about an artist with Tourette syndrome.
In 2002, Rob Morrow played Kevin Hunter in the TV series Street Time. He also appeared in the TV movie Custody. In 2007, he played Dr. Hollins, Jack Nicholson's doctor, in the movie The Bucket List.
Numb3rs and Recent Work
From 2005 to 2010, Rob Morrow starred as FBI agent Don Eppes in the TV show Numb3rs on CBS. In this show, his character used math to solve crimes. After Numb3rs, he starred in a new series called The Whole Truth in 2010. He also played Henry Rearden in the movie Atlas Shrugged: Part III, which came out in 2014.
More recently, Rob Morrow had a recurring role as reporter Abe Leonard in the first season of the TV show Designated Survivor in 2017. He also played Barry Scheck in The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story. As of November 2018, there was news that Northern Exposure might return, and Rob Morrow was expected to play Joel Fleischman again.

Rob Morrow also has a recurring role as Judge Adam DeGiulio in the Showtime drama Billions. Besides acting, he teaches at the Ruskin Group Theatre in Santa Monica. In the summer of 2019, he starred as Willy Loman in the theater's play Death of a Salesman.
Personal Life
On his 36th birthday in 1998, Rob Morrow married actress Debbon Ayer. They have one daughter named Tu Morrow, who was born in 2001. The family lives in Santa Monica, California. Before that, Rob lived in Seattle when he was filming Northern Exposure.
