Robbie AhMat played professional Australian rules football. He started his career in the Australian Football League (AFL). He played for two different teams during his time in the AFL.
Playing for Collingwood
Robbie began his AFL career with the Collingwood Football Club. He played for Collingwood from 1995 to 1997. He was the second Aboriginal player to join the team. The first was Wally Lovett in the 1980s.
Moving to Sydney Swans
After playing for Collingwood, Robbie moved to the Sydney Swans. He played for the Swans from 1998 to 2001. During his time with the Swans, he achieved a special award. He won the AFL Goal of the Year in 2000. This award is given for the most amazing goal scored in a season.
Beyond the AFL
After his time in the AFL, Robbie continued to play football. He joined the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). He played for the Norwood team for two years. During that time, he scored 13 goals.
