Robert Kidiaba Muteba, born on February 1, 1976, is a famous person from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He used to be a professional football player, known for being a great goalkeeper. Robert Kidiaba's Football Journey
Playing for Clubs
Robert Kidiaba was born in Lubumbashi. He started his club football career playing for AS Saint-Luc. Later, he joined TP Mazembe, one of the biggest football clubs in Africa.
With TP Mazembe, he played in big international tournaments. These included the 2009 FIFA Club World Cup and the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup. He played five matches in these tournaments. In 2010, his team, TP Mazembe, made history. They reached the final of the Club World Cup. This was the first time a club from outside South America or Europe had ever done that.
Playing for His Country
Kidiaba first played for the DR Congo national team in 2002. He played in 11 qualifying matches for the FIFA World Cup.
In December 2014, he said he would stop playing for his country after the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. However, in February 2015, he hinted that he might continue playing. He was part of the 23-man squad for the 2015 tournament.

In May 2015, it was announced that Robert Kidiaba would enter politics. He decided to run for elections with the National Party for Democracy and Development.
In January 2019, he was elected. He became a Member of Parliament for the Upper Katanga Province. This shows he is also a leader off the football field.

Kidiaba is an ambassador for a charity called Peace One Day. This charity works to promote peace around the world.
