Robert Godfrey Wynn Williams (born September 11, 1864 – died September 8, 1929) was an important lawyer and politician in Queensland, Australia. He was known for his work as a solicitor, which is a type of lawyer who advises clients and prepares legal documents. He also served as a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly, which is like a state parliament where laws are made.

Robert Wynn Williams: Early Life
Robert Wynn Williams was born on September 11, 1864, in Auckland, New Zealand. His parents were Robert Wynne Williams and Jane (née Lloyd).
When he was eight years old, Robert traveled to London, England. There, he attended a school called Christ's Hospital to get his education.
Becoming a Lawyer
At age 15, Robert returned to New Zealand. He began training to become a lawyer in Christchurch. His uncle, Henry Wynn-Williams, was also a lawyer and helped teach him.
By the time he was 21, Robert was officially allowed to practice law. He worked as a lawyer in Auckland for a while. Later, he moved to Ireland for his health.
In 1890, he worked as a surveyor in New South Wales, Australia. Then, in 1892, he became a solicitor in Brisbane.
Starting His Own Business
In 1894, Robert Wynn Williams moved to Charters Towers, a town in Queensland. He started his own law practice there. He became very good at dealing with laws about mining and companies. He continued to run this business until he passed away in 1929.
Robert Wynn Williams: Political Journey
Robert Wynn Williams decided to enter politics. He represented a group called the Ministerialists. In the 1912 Queensland state election, he won a seat in the Charters Towers area.
He served as a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly for three years. However, in the 1915 Queensland state election, he was not re-elected.
Robert Wynn Williams: Family Life
On April 21, 1894, Robert Wynn Williams married Elizabeth Macpherson in Sydney. She passed away in 1951.
Robert Wynn Williams died in Charters Towers in 1929. He was buried in the Lynd Highway Cemetery.
