Robert de Bracquemont (born around 1340, died 1419) was an important nobleman from Normandy, a region in France. He was also known by other names like Mosén Rubí de Bracamonte or Rubín. Robert de Bracquemont held very high positions. He served as an Admiral for both France and the Kingdom of Castile (which is now part of Spain). Being an Admiral meant he was a top leader in the navy, in charge of ships and sea battles. He was also the first Lord of Fuente el Sol and Rubí de Bracamonte.

Robert de Bracquemont was born in Normandy, France, around the year 1340. He was the fourth son of Renaud II de Bracquemont. His family was well-known.
Family Connections
Robert married Inés González de Mendoza. Her family, the House of Mendoza, was very powerful in Castile. This marriage helped Robert make important connections in Spain.
Early Career and Diplomatic Role
In 1386, Robert de Bracquemont traveled to Castile. He went there as an ambassador for France. An ambassador is someone who represents their country in another country. Robert's job was to work with the Castilian court, which was the government led by King Henry III.
Becoming an Admiral
Robert de Bracquemont became an Admiral of France in 1415. This was a very important role. It meant he was a top commander in the French navy. From 1415 to 1417, he also served as the governor of Honfleur. A governor is someone who manages a town or region.
Later Life and Death
Robert de Bracquemont spent his later years in Mocejón, a town in Toledo, Spain. He was given special rights by the king there. He passed away in Mocejón on April 4, 1419.
