Robin Leslie Big Snake (born April 10, 1984) is a former professional ice hockey player from Canada. He played as a left winger and was known for his strong physical play on the ice.

Early Life and Heritage
Robin Big Snake was born on April 10, 1984. His mother, Lisa, is from the Cree people, and his father, Carlon, is from the Blackfoot people. Both of these Indigenous tribes are mainly part of the Siksika Nation in Alberta, Canada.
Hockey Journey
Robin Big Snake started his journey in the hockey world when he was 16 years old. He played for the Airdrie Bantam AAA team during the 1999-2000 season. The next year, he moved up, splitting his time between the Calgary Royals and the Regina Pats.
Junior Hockey Years
Big Snake began his junior hockey career with the Vancouver Giants in 2001. After playing 19 games in his second season with the Giants, he was traded to the Moose Jaw Warriors during the 2002-03 season.
In 2003, he moved to the Portland Winter Hawks. He played the 2003-04 season with them. He even had a brief tryout with the Hartford Wolfpack of the AHL. After returning to Portland, he later joined the Owen Sound Attack in the OHL.
Professional Career Highlights
In 2005, Robin Big Snake attended a training camp for the Detroit Red Wings. He then joined the Rockford Icehogs. He showed he could score goals and play a tough, physical game. He achieved his highest scores in goals (27), assists (19), and points (46) during this time. He also spent a lot of time in the penalty box, showing his strong physical style of play.
He stayed with the Icehogs through the 2006-07 season. He became the team's all-time leader in penalty minutes before leaving.
In the 2007-08 season, Big Snake played for the Texas Brahmas in the Central Hockey League. He was later traded to the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. He finished that season with 23 points in 50 games.
He signed with the Elmira Jackals in 2008. Later, he joined the Muskegon Lumberjacks for the 2009-10 season. During his time with the Lumberjacks, he faced a suspension for leaving the penalty box during a game.
Robin Big Snake's professional hockey career ended in 2010. Over his career, he played 411 games. He scored 88 goals and made 110 assists.
