Robin Leslie Big Snake (born April 10, 1984) is a former professional ice hockey player from Canada. He played as a left winger and was known for both scoring goals and his tough style of play.

Growing Up
Robin Big Snake was born on April 10, 1984. His mother is from the Cree people, and his father is from the Blackfoot people. Both of these Indigenous groups are mainly part of the Siksika Nation in Alberta, Canada.
Starting His Career
Robin Big Snake began his hockey journey when he was 16 years old. In the 1999-2000 season, he played for the Airdrie Bantam AAA team. The next year, he played for two different teams: the Calgary Royals and the Regina Pats.
He started his junior hockey career with the Vancouver Giants in 2001. After playing 19 games in his second season with the Giants, he was traded to the Moose Jaw Warriors during the 2002-03 season.
Playing in Different Leagues
In 2003, Big Snake was traded again, this time to the Portland Winter Hawks. He played the 2003-04 season with them. He even had a short tryout with the Hartford Wolfpack, a team in a higher league called the AHL.
After a couple of games in the 2004-05 season, he left the Winter Hawks. Soon after, he joined the Owen Sound Attack in a different junior league, the OHL.
In 2005, Big Snake had a brief tryout with the Detroit Red Wings. He then joined the Rockford Icehogs. There, he showed he could score goals and was also known for his tough play. He had his best season with 27 goals, 19 assists, and 423 penalty minutes. He stayed with the Icehogs for the 2006-07 season. He became the player with the most penalty minutes in the team's history.
For the 2007-08 season, Big Snake played for the Texas Brahmas in the Central Hockey League. He was later traded to the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. He finished that season with 23 points in 50 games.
In 2008, he signed with the Elmira Jackals in the ECHL. He later played for the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the 2009-10 season. During his time there, he faced a long suspension for leaving the penalty box during a game to join a fight.
