Robin Quivers (born August 8, 1952) is a well-known American radio personality. She is most famous for being the co-host of The Howard Stern Show for many years.

Early Life and Education
Robin Quivers was born on August 8, 1952, in Baltimore, Maryland. Her parents had limited schooling. When she was seventeen, Robin joined a pre-nursing program. This was at Maryland General Hospital.
She finished high school at Western High School in 1970. After that, she began her studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
Robin's Career Journey
Serving in the Air Force
In 1974, Robin Quivers graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Her first job was at the Maryland Shock Trauma facility. She worked as a nurse in intensive care.
Knowing her degree could be useful, Quivers joined the United States Air Force in July 1975. She became a second lieutenant. She started active duty in Texas in January 1976. After six months, she was promoted to first lieutenant. By June 1978, she had reached the rank of captain.
Starting in Radio
In 1979, Quivers returned to Baltimore. She studied at the Broadcasting Institute of Maryland. She also worked in a hospital during this time. Her first radio job was as a newscaster at WIOO in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
She then worked at WCMB in nearby Harrisburg. Later, she moved back to Baltimore. There, she became a consumer reporter at WFBR. She also read news with morning disc jockey Johnny Walker.
In March 1981, radio host Howard Stern started a new morning show. He wanted a newscaster to talk with him on air. The station's program director played Quivers a tape of Stern. She accepted the job without meeting him first. She thought she would just read the news, but it turned out to be much more.
Awards and Recognition
In February 2014, Robin Quivers won an award. It was at the 45th NAACP Image Awards. She won for her book, The Vegucation of Robin: How Real Food Saved My Life. This award was for Outstanding Literary Work – Instructional.
In 2017, Quivers was honored. She was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame.
Personal Life and Hobbies
Robin Quivers lives in Manhattan, New York City. She has had many different hobbies. These include race car driving, painting, and rock climbing. She also enjoys other physical activities.
Quivers competed in the 2007 Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race. She finished in fourteenth place out of seventeen racers.
Quivers works with The Girl Fund. This program is organized by the United Nations. It supports education for girls in countries where they might be exploited. Quivers also started her own nonprofit group, the 15 Foundation.
She has also learned the Transcendental Meditation technique. This technique was taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
Health Journey
In May 2012, Quivers shared that she needed surgery. This was to remove a tumor from her bladder. After the surgery, she continued to work on the show. She broadcast from her New York home.
On September 9, 2013, Quivers announced good news. Her cancer was in complete remission. This was after successful surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. After seventeen months, Quivers returned to the studio on October 2, 2013. Her official diagnosis was stage 3C endometrial cancer. In 2016, the cancer returned. As of mid-2024, she has continued to receive treatment.
