Robin Quivers (born August 8, 1952) is a well-known American radio host, writer, and actress. She is most famous for being the long-time co-host of The Howard Stern Show.

Early Life and Education
Robin Quivers was born on August 8, 1952, in Baltimore, Maryland. Her mother, Lula Louise Quivers, was a homemaker. Her father, Charles Quivers Sr., worked as a steelworker. Robin has an older brother, Charles Jr., and two adopted brothers, Harry and Howard.
When she was seventeen, Robin joined a special pre-nursing program. She studied at Maryland General Hospital. Robin graduated from Western High School in 1970. After that, she continued her studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
Robin's Career Journey
Military Service
In 1974, Robin Quivers finished her nursing degree at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Her first job was at the Maryland Shock Trauma facility. She worked as an intensive care nurse, dealing with serious medical situations.
Wanting to use her nursing skills in a different way, Robin joined the United States Air Force in July 1975. She became a second lieutenant. Robin started active duty on January 11, 1976, at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas. After just six months, she was promoted to first lieutenant. By June 1978, she had reached the rank of captain.
Starting in Radio
In 1979, Robin returned to Baltimore. She studied at the Broadcasting Institute of Maryland while also working in a hospital. Her first job in radio was as a newscaster at WIOO in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Later, she worked at WCMB in nearby Harrisburg. Robin then moved back to Baltimore. There, she became a consumer reporter at WFBR. She also read newscasts with morning disc jockey Johnny Walker.
In March 1981, radio personality Howard Stern started a new morning show in Washington, DC. He was looking for a newscaster to talk with him on air about news and current events. Robin joined his show, thinking she would just read the news. However, her role quickly became much more interactive.
Achievements and Awards
In February 2014, Robin Quivers won an award at the 45th NAACP Image Awards. She won for Outstanding Literary Work – Instructional, for her book The Vegucation of Robin: How Real Food Saved My Life.
In 2017, Robin Quivers was honored by being inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame. This is a very special recognition for people who have made a big impact in radio.
Robin's Personal Life
Robin Quivers lives in Manhattan, New York City. She has many different hobbies. These include race car driving, painting, and rock climbing. She also enjoys other physical activities.
Robin competed in the 2007 Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race. She finished in fourteenth place out of seventeen racers.
Robin works with The Girl Fund. This program is organized by the United Nations. It helps to support education for girls in countries where they might face challenges. Robin also started her own non-profit organization called the 15 Foundation.
She has also learned a special meditation technique called Transcendental Meditation. This technique was taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
Health Journey
In May 2012, Robin Quivers shared that she needed surgery. She had a tumor in her bladder. Even while recovering, she continued to be part of The Howard Stern Show. She provided her commentary from her home in New York.
On September 9, 2013, Robin announced good news. Her cancer was in complete remission. This meant the cancer was gone after successful surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. After seventeen months, Robin returned to the radio studio on October 2, 2013. Her official diagnosis had been stage 3C endometrial cancer. In 2016, the cancer returned.
