Robin Renee Sanders (born in 1954) is an important American diplomat. She worked as the U.S. Ambassador to two countries in Africa: the Republic of the Congo from 2003 to 2005, and Nigeria from 2007 to 2010. Early Life and Education
Robin Renee Sanders was born in 1954. She studied at several universities to prepare for her career. She earned her first degree, a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia.
Later, she continued her studies at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. There, she earned two master's degrees. One was in International Relations and African Studies, which taught her about different countries and the continent of Africa. The other was a Master of Science in Communications.
Ms. Sanders also earned a doctorate degree. This advanced degree was in Information Systems and Communications from Robert Morris University. Her strong education helped her become a successful diplomat.

Serving as U.S. Ambassador
