Robin Wasserman (born on May 31, 1978) is an American author who writes novels and essays. An essay is a short piece of writing on a particular subject.

Wasserman grew up near Philadelphia. She went to college at Harvard University and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Before becoming a full-time writer, she worked as an editor for a children's book company.

She has written many popular books for kids and young adults. She has also written two novels for adults that received very good reviews. Her novel Mother Daughter Widow Wife was a finalist for the 2021 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction, a major book award. Besides books, she writes articles for websites and magazines like Buzz Feed and The Atlantic. Wasserman currently lives in Los Angeles, California. She also teaches writing at SNHU and writes for television shows.
