RoboRoach is a fun Canadian animated TV show. It aired on Teletoon in Canada and Fox Kids in other countries. The show is about two cockroach brothers, Rube and Reg.
One day, while looking for food, Rube gets caught. Scientists experiment on him. His brother Reg saves him, but something amazing happens! They jump into an electrical outlet. This turns Rube into a "roboroach." He becomes a cyborg, which means he is part robot and part cockroach. After this, Rube promises to use his new powers only to help others. He never uses them for himself, which often makes Reg unhappy!
The idea for the show came from real stories. Japanese scientists actually put cameras and tiny computers on cockroaches. They sent them into disaster areas to look for signs of life.

Meet the RoboRoach Characters
Our Main Heroes
- Ruben "Rube" Roach is the main hero. He became a "super-bug" after his accident. Now, he protects the town of Vexberg. Rube always thinks of others first. He never takes rewards for his good deeds. This is why he and Reg are often poor. Rube is also a bit childish and believes almost anything. He has three pet lice and a special "larvy" doll. He can't sleep without it! His robot powers let him change into almost anything. He can become a washing machine, a plane, or even a toilet! Scott Thompson provides his voice.
- Reginald "Reg" Roach is Rube's older brother. He is shorter than Rube. Reg always tries to get rich, but he never succeeds. He only cares about himself and wants money. Reg often tries to use Rube's powers to get rich. But Rube always says no to rewards. He believes "A good deed is its own reward!" This makes Reg very angry. He is selfish and gets mad easily. This often causes him trouble. But deep down, Reg really cares about Rube. He sometimes puts his greed aside for his younger brother. His famous line is "Why me? why me? Why all the time me?" Ted Dykstra is his voice actor.
- Mayor Mierworm is the mayor of Vexburg. She doesn't like Rube or Reg. She thinks they cause problems. Once, she even tried to blame them for a crime they didn't do. She just wanted them gone! She isn't a great leader, but she often gets re-elected.
- Skeeter Jettings is the main news reporter. You can often see him on Rube and Reg's TV. His name sounds like a famous news anchor.
- The Police Chief is a friend of Roboroach. He is the head of the police station. He is known for his funny giggle.
- Doc is the Roach brothers' personal doctor.
- Sterling Überbucks is a very rich businessman. He owns a company called "Überbucks Dynamic Concerns." He and his helper, Toadie, always try to get richer. They don't care what it costs! Sterling has a nephew named Stewie Jr. He also has an evil twin brother, Carling. And a very old relative named Sterling Überrucks The Very 1st.
Who Are the Villains?
- Mandible Lecter is a tricky bug. He captures other innocent bugs.
- Widow Black is a black widow spider. She tricks bugs into marrying her.
- The Exterminator is a bug catcher. He loves war and has a German accent. He works for money.
- F. Lee Brain is a mad scientist. He wants to take over the world. His helper is Slug.
- The Disciplinarian/Ms.Conduct used to be a teacher for Rube and Reg.
