Robson Ponte (born 6 November 1976) is a former Brazilian footballer. He was a talented player who mostly played as an attacking midfielder. He spent a big part of his career playing for two famous clubs: Bayer 04 Leverkusen in Germany and Urawa Red Diamonds in Japan.

Starting in Brazil
Robson Ponte was born in São Paulo, Brazil. He started his football journey there. He played for clubs like CA Juventus and América-SP.
His skills really shone when he played for Guarani. He scored 16 goals in 32 games for them. This caught the eye of teams from other countries.
Playing in Germany
In 1999, Robson Ponte joined the German club Bayer 04 Leverkusen. This happened after he played really well in a friendly match against them. He stayed at Leverkusen for three seasons.
Later, he moved to another German club, VfL Wolfsburg, on loan. He played 61 games for Wolfsburg and scored 13 goals. He was an important player for them during his time there.
Success in Japan
In 2005, Robson Ponte moved to Japan to play for Urawa Red Diamonds. He joined them for free after his contract with Leverkusen ended. He quickly became a key player for Urawa.
He was known for being a great all-around midfielder. He often took penalty kicks and corner kicks for his team. In 2007, he was even named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the season in Japan! He played 144 games and scored 33 goals for Urawa Reds.
Returning to Brazil
Robson Ponte finished his time playing in foreign leagues in 2010. He decided to return to his home country, Brazil. In 2011, he joined the club Grêmio Barueri before ending his playing career.
